Taking an Alcohol Course Online

The court ordered me to complete an alcohol education class. I figured that I might as well do it sooner than later so that I can return to my normal life and put this all behind me.

I was unable to find a class locally that fit into my schedule so the courts assured me I could take the class online as long as I had a certificate of completion. I found a reputable online alcohol class and signed up right away.

It was less expensive than the in person classes and far more convenient. It was actually interesting and I stayed up most of the night going through it. I personally liked how anonymous and confidential it was. What if someone I knew saw me in a the local class, I would have been very embarrassed.

Upon completion, I printed out my certificate and took it too the court. I feel so relieved to have my license back.

I Enjoyed My Alcohol Awareness Class

I was impressed by how comprehensive the online 24 hour alcohol education course I took for my new job was. I was starting to work at a new law office and was encouraged by the prospect of working in a new place but was a little discouraged by all the requirements I had to go through before starting my job.

One of the requirements, was to take an online alcohol class. Initially, I wasn't happy about taking the class online, but since my job as paying for it and I could start immediately, I wanted to get through it quickly.

I found an online alcohol class that looked reputable and signed up right away. What surprised me, was how much I enjoyed the class. I learned a lot about substance abuse, drinking behavior and patterns, problems associated with drinking and the shocking DUI statistics. As a lawyer, these things were fascinating. The class was well written and incorporated videos as well. I also learned how much I "prejudge" situations and have decided to be more open and neutral.

How Alcohol Awareness Classes Helped My Dad

Both my parents have struggled with alcohol problems throughout my whole childhood. My mother stopped drinking when I was in high school but my dad continued to drink even though he tried to quit.

It got to be really embarrassing, and I never wanted to have friends over. He would  make a big fool of himself and make my friends uncomfortable. My mom finally had enough, and got a divorce from him several years after she stopped drinking.

A few years ago, I signed him up for an alcohol awareness class. When he told me he took it, I didn't want to get my hopes up. I figured he'd stop drinking for a little while but this was his pattern before starting back up again.

For some reason, the online alcohol class really helped him. He's attending AA meetings every day and has a sponsor helping him stay sober. He says he hasn't had a drink since and is determined to turn his life around.

Take Alcohol Awareness Classes to Take Control of Your Life

A teacher once said, "to get an acorn tree, plant an acorn seed." In other words, in order to accomplish your future goals, you have to take control and plant the right seeds in the present.

If alcohol has been a problem for you in your life, even causing legal problems, you have to do something now to alter your future. One place to start would be to take an alcohol awareness class. You can even start one today if you do it online.

Not only will taking an online alcohol class help you take more control of yourself, but you will feel better too. The classes range from an eight hour course to a twenty four hour course, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Make sure that you find an accredited business that offers world-class customer support, and has no hidden fees.

Afterwards, congratulate yourself on planting positive seeds that will grow positive trees.

How an Alcohol Awareness Class Helped Me

When I was younger, I started to drink quite a bit. My drinking really picked up in college, and I blacked out regularly. I thought it was cool, to not be able to remember an entire evening. Then I started to get in trouble because of my drinking. I was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), which I didn't think was so cool, and wound up losing a job I really liked because of my drinking. My girlfriend dumped me and told me I was a loser.

My drinking began spiraling out of control and I got my third DUI. Not only did I lose my license for a year, but I had to take an alcohol awareness class.

At the time I was in survival mode, just trying to get through the day so to speak but honestly, I really learned a lot. I reminded me of my Dad who was an alcoholic and whose life was empty. I decided I didn't want to be a drunk and that I would stop drinking entirely.

It has taken a lot of endurance and strength to change by behaviors, but I have been clean for almost a year now, and I am much happier and life feels better.

Alcohol Abuse and Being Informed with an Alcohol Class

It does not matter where a person lives, social status or the job title that they hold, alcohol abuse can be a major problem and issue in anyone's life. This problem impacts young children, teenagers, adults, and elderly persons as well. It can destroy the lives of those who drink as well as the family members who love them.

Alcohol is a social drug and used in many social and even religious gatherings such as weddings, retirement parties, sporting events, Valentines day, etc. Alcohol is not only used socially, but it is often used throughout the week to  unwind from work or celebrate with friends.

Alcohol use is so normalized that it can be difficult to discern who has a serious problem. This is a great reason to take an alcohol awareness class. If you think you or someone you love may be using alcohol too frequently or uncontrollably, taking a class online can help to provide valuable information that they may need.

Learning about alcohol abuse and alcoholism is crucial so people become more aware of their own behaviors with regards to drinking as well as the devastating consequences of letting it get out of control. In a culture of indulgence, it is best to start with good habits.

These Alcohol Awareness Classes Are Teaching Me a Lot

I have been sober for six months since my angry outburst. I was charged with simple assault against people who love me and were trying to intervene in my alcoholism. Now I have to finish alcohol awareness classes as ordered by the sentencing judge to complete this program. If I manage to stay out of trouble for another 18 months after the classes, I will have completed the two years of probation and my record will be expunged.

I made the mistake of falling into the alcohol trap that so many of my relatives before me have fallen into. It is in our genes to be drawn to alcoholism. Every male and many female members in my family tell me that they have to actively choose every day not to drink. The temptation is powerful. It is not an easy road but I do not want to die like my father, uncles, two aunts and grandfather did. All of them died as a result of alcohol induced diseases or accidents.

To my surprise, the alcohol awareness classes are teaching me much more than I expected. I am taking a class online which allows me to go at my own pace. Because it is online, no one is judging me and I don't feel ashamed. It feels good to learn about alcoholism and what I can do to change my life. I especially like the mindfulness work because it has helped me face myself without criticism but greater awareness. Now I am more conscious of my decisions and my behavior.

An Alcohol Class to Help You Understand if You Are an Alcoholic

An alcohol awareness class can give you valuable insight into whether or not you are an alcoholic. After all, it isn't easy calling yourself one for a number of reasons. The first being that no one wants to be called an alcoholic.

Growing up we've often encountered one and they typically were not the best role models. Some were overly friendly, or acted weird. Others were fun until they drank too much and became good examples of what not to be. We would hate admitting being "one of them".

The second reason it isn't easy calling your self an alcoholic is because no one seems to know for sure what an alcoholic is. We all have varying definitions. Even amongst the alcoholic community you may get three different answers if you ask three different people. Regardless, an alcohol awareness class can give you some valuable insight into what an alcoholic might be and if you fit that description. It is good information to have if you find alcohol becoming a central theme of  your life.

It is Never Too Late for an Alcohol Class

I am sure you have heard the saying "better late than never." This most certainly is true when it comes to taking an alcohol class. Regardless of how much you drink and how far your addiction has progressed, an alcohol class is always a good step in your rehabilitation process.

As a counselor for both in-class and online alcohol classes I see students in every aspect of the spectrum when it comes to drinking.

If you are a teenager just experimenting with alcohol, an alcohol class could be helpful. If you think you may be drinking too much, take an alcohol class. If you know you drink too much but might have doubts as to whether your drinking really is a problem, take an alcohol class.

If you know you are an alcoholic and may not be in denial but are in hiding, take an alcohol class. If you prefer to maintain total anonymity there are online alcohol classes too.

Taking My Alcohol Classes Online

Everyone has their moments of weakness and shame. One of mine in the last few years was that I got in trouble for alcohol possession. I was a minor at the time, so to get busted by the cops really complicated my life. It did make me think about things in the long run which is good. Drinking isn't a joke. You could end up behind the wheel of a car and seriously hurting someone or yourself.

I'm glad they allowed me to take my alcohol classes online. It satisfied the court requirements, which was a big help. Taking a class in person would have caused me interfered with my job and college courses.  It's great that out of all this at least they didn't want to ruin my life. They just wanted to help me by teaching me about my behavior and decisions. It's strange but now I can see more clearly how much I was drinking and how much denial I was in.

I don't know if this was one of those those times when you feel grateful for a terrible situation, but being caught, despite how humiliating it was, feels like it has seriously changed my path and I am a better person as a result.

My Cousin Needs an Alcohol Awareness Class

My cousin is 25 years old and she has had a drinking problem from 10 years. My cousin and I are really close and we talk about this problem frequently. I keep telling her to get some professional help but she's reluctant. She says that she wants to, but that she feels embarrassed and is also worried about how much it will cost. I told her there are online alcohol classes that are very affordable and private. If she took an awareness class online she would know exactly how much it would cost and could take it in the privacy of her own home. I really hope my cousin seriously considers this because I can tell that her alcohol problem is getting worse.

We Are Better People Today After Taking an Alcohol Awareness Class

I could smell alcohol on my son's breath a lot more often lately. He is only 20 years old and I was so worried he was going to get in trouble. He caught me crying one day over it and that made him realize that his actions were affecting his entire family. We had a heart-to-heart talk that day and we both found out a lot about each other. I didn't realize he was turning to alcohol because he missed his father, and he didn't know that I missed his father just as much. He had left all of us about three years earlier and we had not dealt with it very well.

We looked online and found alcohol awareness classes for him to take, because he no longer wanted to hurt me or his younger sisters with his behavior. I also found some anger management classes for me to take, and we both are better people today because of it.

I Learned About My Alcohol Behavior in an Online Alcohol Class

If I am to be honest, I did not really think I had a drinking problem. Yes, I enjoyed a few drinks after work, and drank more freely on the weekends but so did my friends. There were times when I drank too much, but I never considered myself "a drunk" like my father.

One particular Friday night, we were celebrating a big merger when a few drinks turned into more drinks and I was arrested for public intoxication. Part of my sentence was to enroll in an alcohol awareness class.

This turned out to be a problem because no one offered any courses near me; and the closest one was a three hour round trip drive. I was not sure what to do until a friend suggested that I find an online alcohol class about alcohol awareness.

Not only was the price lower then what I would have paid in person but it was convenient and well written. It also met my sentencing requirements but more importantly, in the privacy of my own home- the class helped me open my eyes. I was able to be more honest with myself and see why I was abusing alcohol. It got me to turn around my life.

How Alcohol Awareness Classes Taught Me How Not to Destroy Myself

I used to drink now and again when I was younger, but I didn't care for the taste that much. It gradually got to the point where I didn't even go to the bars with my friends. Several months ago, a good friend of mine died and I started drinking again just to make the pain disappear.

I ended up doing some stupid things that got me in trouble with the law. I am so thankful that a judge looked at the cause rather than the effects of my actions. He ordered that I undergo alcohol awareness classes. I was so grateful for this, and I ended up learning a lot about myself in the process.

The online alcohol class helped me understand that it is better to deal with grief than try and bury it in alcohol and destructive behavior. Not only does that not work, but it is not honoring my friend either. I still miss him deeply, but I know he would be proud that I'm longer destroying myself because of him.

Maybe an Alcohol Class is All You Need to Stop Drinking

Have you ever been concerned or told that you are drinking too much? If so, more than likely you have a drinking problem. Of course it does not feel like a "problem" because you enjoy it and the rituals surrounding it.

As a recovering alcoholic and a counselor for both in-class and online alcohol classes, I see first-hand the problems that seep into the lives of those who abuse alcohol. I also see the denial that keeps the problems growing and spiraling out of control. Addiction happens over time, it's progressive. Therefore, I always discuss the self-awareness of addictive behavior.

Virtually, all of my students should have some inkling there is a problem when they've been involved in an alcohol-related incident. However, remarkably so, some continue to remain in denial. Many are not ready to look at the power alcohol has over them and their rationalizations to continue drinking. Students blame the problems on their boss, spouse, stress, government, etc. anything to keep them from taking personal responsibility.

However, alcohol classes (either in class or online) help them address their denial. Mostly, since other students who are in the same shoes, confront them. I see people go from serious denial to anger to acceptance in less than 24 hours of alcohol awareness treatment.

If you think you might have a drinking problem, I urge you to take an alcohol awareness class. If you prefer to maintain total anonymity there are online alcohol classes too.

A Hobby can Help You Stop Drinking

If you're somebody who has a drinking problem, the worst times are probably when you are bored or feeling anxious. Often when you are just sitting and thinking is when you're tempted to grab an alcoholic beverage.

But a healthy distraction such as a hobby can thwart the temptation to drink better than almost anything. When you have a great project in front of you, like wood working or weaving, you'll feel excited to work on that and stay busy rather than crack open a beer in front of the television.

Another benefit is that handiwork takes skill and concentration. You will quickly realize that as you get further into your project, you want to be careful with your work and avoid mistakes. So staying sober means that you'll have better, more precise results of your craft making.

To learn other ways of staying sober, take a 24 hour alcohol awareness class or online alcohol class.

How to Watch Football Without Drinking

Another exciting football season is in full swing.

If you are like me you watch games with a bunch of your friends. There is usually plenty of food and drinks to be had. Beer drinking is very much a part of watching the game. Not to mention the countless high priced commercials for beer.

But what are you going to do if you are trying to cut back on your alcohol intake. Or what if you've decided not to drink alcohol again for the rest of your life. If you've attended an alcohol awareness class you probably learned that it's a good thing to stay away from events or parties where alcohol is being served. But what if you are a huge football fan? What are you expected to do? Just watch the game at home while sipping bottled water?

Here's a few hints on how to handle this situation. First, make sure that you watch the game at somebody's house rather than in a bar. Bars are associated with drinking and if you can avoid them, you've done a good job. Second, tell your host ahead of time that you won't be drinking alcohol. Next, bring a non-alcoholic alternative such as sparkling water, root beer, or sweet iced tea to the game. Finally, make sure that you always have a full non-alcoholic beverage in your hand at the event. That way you never have to worry about somebody offering you a new beer if you're done with your drink.

You can definitely watch football and other sports in the company of your friends without drinking. Just follow these simple tips and you should have no problems. If you feel tempted, there are lots of great online alcohol classes that can help you conquer these situations.

Improve Your Nutrition by Cutting Alcohol Consumption

You probably have read that alcohol is basically empty calories. You also may have heard that drinking a glass of red wine every day is good for you.

When it comes to alcohol there are many facts and myths. A good alcohol awareness class can explain them in more detail, but we'll give you some of the basic facts in this article. Alcohol is called "empty calories" for a very good reason. On average alcohol is mostly sugar and carbs. That means it contains no protein, no vitamins and no micro-nutrients. One drink has been shown to reduce blood sugar in Type-2 diabetics; however, alcohol is lethal if more is consumed.

Alcoholic beverages have marginal nutritional value when combined with other foods or drinks. Fruit and juices are examples. But, when alcohol is mixed with juices which only slightly improves the nutrition, there is a lot of additional sugar added.

What About Red Wine?

Some studies have shown that a glass of red wine every day is good for your heart and reduces the chance of heart disease. There are other studies that show no added value to your heart from red wine.

Red wine may be the most nutritional alcohol beverage. Would you care to guess what nutritional value a glass brings to your daily requirements for vitamins and minerals?

From a glass of red table wine you get about 1% of your daily requirements for riboflavin, vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and potassium. You get 2% of the required daily intake for manganese. That is it!

Not only are alcoholic beverages empty calories, booze also has the ability to inhibit the absorption of vitamins and other minerals. So if you are looking to boost your health, it is a good idea to strictly limit your intake of alcohol (especially during the holidays). If you want to learn more about how alcohol affects your health, consider taking a 12 hour alcohol awareness class.

An Alcohol Awareness Class Can Save You on Car Insurance

It might seem very strange that the idea of taking an 8 hour alcohol awareness class will save you money on car insurance. But once you understand what you're going to learn in an alcohol awareness class, you'll see how you'll get the savings.

First, when you take an alcohol class, you're going to learn the very severe consequences of drinking and driving. A DUI is going to cost you a lot in terms of both money and time. You'll more than likely lose your license, have to pay a huge fine, spend some time in jail and be required to take an alcohol awareness education class.

But something will follow you for the rest of your life and that's a very high car insurance bill. After a DUI your insurance costs go up astronomically. This means you'll be paying thousands of more dollars per year.

Once you understand all this, you'll be more careful when you drive. You'll be less likely to drink and drive and you'll save lots of money in insurance costs.
