The court ordered me to complete an alcohol education class. I figured that I might as well do it sooner than later so that I can return to my normal life and put this all behind me.
I was unable to find a class locally that fit into my schedule so the courts assured me I could take the class online as long as I had a certificate of completion. I found a reputable online alcohol class and signed up right away.
It was less expensive than the in person classes and far more convenient. It was actually interesting and I stayed up most of the night going through it. I personally liked how anonymous and confidential it was. What if someone I knew saw me in a the local class, I would have been very embarrassed.
Upon completion, I printed out my certificate and took it too the court. I feel so relieved to have my license back.

Alcohol Awareness Classes Can Change Your Life
I like to think that I am a responsible person. I go to work every day and I pay my bills on time. I don't lie or cheat or steal. I stay drug free and healthy except that I consider myself a wine connoisseur . I love studying wine, drinking wine, talking about wine, shopping for wine, tasting wine, etc. But now, I do it very responsibly and cautiously. I never drink and drive and hire a taxi service in advance if I go out. I don't let my friends drink and drive either. I will pay for their taxi if necessary, to keep them safe.
Throughout my twenties I was a bartender and I drank a lot more hard liquor. I never considered my drinking to be a big deal until I was arrested for a DUI. Part of my fine was to complete an online alcohol class. I was so ashamed that I took the 30 hour course. I wasn't looking forward to it thinking it would be preachy and boring.
However, to my surprise it was exactly the opposite. I learned so many things that I never knew before, and it inspired me to look at my drinking behavior. In some ways I am glad I got that DUI. It changed my life for the better and I was spared a far worse experience.

How Alcohol Awareness Classes Helped My Dad
Both my parents have struggled with alcohol problems throughout my whole childhood. My mother stopped drinking when I was in high school but my dad continued to drink even though he tried to quit.
It got to be really embarrassing, and I never wanted to have friends over. He would make a big fool of himself and make my friends uncomfortable. My mom finally had enough, and got a divorce from him several years after she stopped drinking.
A few years ago, I signed him up for an alcohol awareness class. When he told me he took it, I didn't want to get my hopes up. I figured he'd stop drinking for a little while but this was his pattern before starting back up again.
For some reason, the online alcohol class really helped him. He's attending AA meetings every day and has a sponsor helping him stay sober. He says he hasn't had a drink since and is determined to turn his life around.

Take Alcohol Awareness Classes to Take Control of Your Life
A teacher once said, "to get an acorn tree, plant an acorn seed." In other words, in order to accomplish your future goals, you have to take control and plant the right seeds in the present.
If alcohol has been a problem for you in your life, even causing legal problems, you have to do something now to alter your future. One place to start would be to take an alcohol awareness class. You can even start one today if you do it online.
Not only will taking an online alcohol class help you take more control of yourself, but you will feel better too. The classes range from an eight hour course to a twenty four hour course, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Make sure that you find an accredited business that offers world-class customer support, and has no hidden fees.
Afterwards, congratulate yourself on planting positive seeds that will grow positive trees.

Be Safe when You Choose to Drink Alcohol
Drinking alcohol is a normal part of daily life for people in most countries. Sipping wine with dinner, toasting champagne at a wedding, and sharing a beer with some friends can be positive ways to use alcohol. In fact, alcohol is okay as long as you are being responsible when using it.
If you are not careful however, alcohol can be dangerous. Many irresponsible alcohol imbibers end up in serious legal trouble or even worse, in a car crash. Others need to attend an alcohol awareness class so that they learn about the full impact drinking has on their lives and the lives of innocent victims they may accidently come into contact with.
If you are not sure how responsible you are, try taking an online alcohol class. These classes are inexpensive, easy, and convenient to take. You will learn so much about the impact your drinking has on yourself and those around you. You will be amazed to learn how hard alcohol is on your body and how easily it is to drive while intoxicated. You hear from victims as well as offenders to get a picture of the full affect DUI has on individuals, families, communities and society at large.
Such a class may help encourage you take your drinking more seriously including cutting back on the amount of alcohol you consume or being so careful to drink responsibly.

How an Alcohol Awareness Class Helped Me
When I was younger, I started to drink quite a bit. My drinking really picked up in college, and I blacked out regularly. I thought it was cool, to not be able to remember an entire evening. Then I started to get in trouble because of my drinking. I was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), which I didn't think was so cool, and wound up losing a job I really liked because of my drinking. My girlfriend dumped me and told me I was a loser.
My drinking began spiraling out of control and I got my third DUI. Not only did I lose my license for a year, but I had to take an alcohol awareness class.
At the time I was in survival mode, just trying to get through the day so to speak but honestly, I really learned a lot. I reminded me of my Dad who was an alcoholic and whose life was empty. I decided I didn't want to be a drunk and that I would stop drinking entirely.
It has taken a lot of endurance and strength to change by behaviors, but I have been clean for almost a year now, and I am much happier and life feels better.

My Class Was Quick and Easy
I had to complete an alcohol awareness class in order to start a new job. I was excited about this position at the hospital helping people who suffer from substance abuse. However, when I was hired for the job, I was unprepared for the number requirements I had to go through before I was actually able to start work.
One of the requirements was to complete a 24 hour online alcohol class. I was instructed to find the class on my own, complete it, then review it. I turned to the Internet and found several sites that offered such classes. Some of the sites looked pretty cheesy so I found a site that had good information and looked professional. Even though the class cost more, I felt it was superior to the less expensive classes. I actually learned a lot and will recommend this class to my patients.
In fact, after my review of the class and my suggestion to use it for educational purposes, my new boss already complimented me on my initiative and good ideas.

Make Money Faster by Taking an Alcohol Awareness Class
How, you might ask, does learning about alcohol, drugs and addiction possibly turn into a way to make yourself money? Seems more like a waste of time, doesn't it?
Well the truth of the matter is that if you have a problem with alcohol and drugs, you are probably spending a lot of time with those activities (being high, drunk or hungover) than you are trying to better yourself. The great thing about a drug and alcohol awareness class is that you will learn about the harmful effects that drugs and alcohol have on your body (including the brain). You will also be given techniques to stop drinking and using drugs.
Once you have shrugged the drug and alcohol demon off your back you are free to focus on what you really want to do. Not only will you save money that is not being spent on alcohol and drugs, but you will open yourself to your true goals and ambitions. That is your personal success and the ability to make money for yourself!

My Son is Very Lucky He Got to Take an Alcohol Class
My son is very lucky. He did not get jail time for his DUI conviction. He also did not lose his job. He did however, lose his license for a year and I refuse to give him rides. He can take the bus, walk, or borrow a bicycle.
He was ordered to take alcohol awareness classes. Since he was unable to attend a local class he is taking them online. The classes are good since they go into detail about the risks of DUI. My son needs to learn how dangerous it is to get behind the wheel of a car if he has been drinking.
The night he spent in jail was a wake up call for him but I believe more education will help. The classes also helped me see what I need to do to help without nagging but setting good limits since he still lives at home. We are learning to be different which means there is a lot more communication and honest conversations.
Indirectly, as a result, my husband has completely given up alcohol. This is good role modeling and leadership. I'm proud of them both.

The New Way to Take Alcohol Drug Courses
When you are ordered by the court or your current employer to attend an alcohol awareness class, you may wonder how you will fit it into your busy schedule. Now, there is a new way to attend these alcohol classes. You can take them online from the comfort of your home.
With online alcohol classes, you log onto the website and take the course at your convenience. Whether you have to take an 8 hour, 10 hour, 12 hour, 16 hour, or 24 hour alcohol course, you can do this online. The courses cover topics about drinking and driving, how to handle stress and emotions, treatment approaches etc.The classes are accepted throughout the nation for many courts and there are websites that offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the class.
Once you complete the online course, you are mailed a certificate of completion that you can take to your court hearing or to your employer. Not only are the classes interesting and cost effective (since you don't have to drive anywhere) but they offer privacy and the chance to learn the material at your own pace.

These Alcohol Awareness Classes Are Teaching Me a Lot
I have been sober for six months since my angry outburst. I was charged with simple assault against people who love me and were trying to intervene in my alcoholism. Now I have to finish alcohol awareness classes as ordered by the sentencing judge to complete this program. If I manage to stay out of trouble for another 18 months after the classes, I will have completed the two years of probation and my record will be expunged.
I made the mistake of falling into the alcohol trap that so many of my relatives before me have fallen into. It is in our genes to be drawn to alcoholism. Every male and many female members in my family tell me that they have to actively choose every day not to drink. The temptation is powerful. It is not an easy road but I do not want to die like my father, uncles, two aunts and grandfather did. All of them died as a result of alcohol induced diseases or accidents.
To my surprise, the alcohol awareness classes are teaching me much more than I expected. I am taking a class online which allows me to go at my own pace. Because it is online, no one is judging me and I don't feel ashamed. It feels good to learn about alcoholism and what I can do to change my life. I especially like the mindfulness work because it has helped me face myself without criticism but greater awareness. Now I am more conscious of my decisions and my behavior.

Classes to Help with Families with Alcohol Addiction
In addition to alcohol support groups for those suffering from alcohol addiction, there are now also alcohol awareness classes that are designed for spouses and family members too.
For many years, alcohol awareness classes were designed for the person dealing with the addiction. However, the alcoholic often lives with family members who are deeply affected by their use and can be integral to their recovery. Therefore, it is critical to educate these sufferers by proxy, so they better understand what they can and cannot do for the alcoholic.
A very helpful component of these classes is to educate people on how to recognize the signs of alcoholism early. Family members often feel frustrated and helpless with a loved one who is abusing alcohol. In many cases, if a parent, spouse, or friend can identify early warning signs, they can get the person and themselves support and help early. Once the addiction is identified, a spouse or family member can attend their own therapy, support groups (such as Al Anon) or take an alcohol class online. This helps them remove the anger so they can provide the necessary boundaries, love and support.

Watch Your Kids Closely when They Are out to Party
My son just returned from his first minor in possession or MIP class. Three weeks ago he was caught at a party with an open alcohol container. He was charged with minor in possession of alcohol. As a result there were fines that I have to pay and my son had to agree to take an online alcohol class.
The point of the class is to inform and educate minors about the risks of using alcohol at a young age, and it also speaks to the legality of drinking alcohol under the age of 21. I do not condone my son drinking so I will have to keep a close eye on him from now on. It is the least of my responsibilities as a parent to know what he is up to. He now knows that I can "spot check" on him at anytime - this means that I will randomly show up to where he says he is going to be and see what he is doing. We both agreed that this annoying intrusion of his privacy is a result of him not making wiser and more responsible decisions.

Taking My Alcohol Classes Online
Everyone has their moments of weakness and shame. One of mine in the last few years was that I got in trouble for alcohol possession. I was a minor at the time, so to get busted by the cops really complicated my life. It did make me think about things in the long run which is good. Drinking isn't a joke. You could end up behind the wheel of a car and seriously hurting someone or yourself.
I'm glad they allowed me to take my alcohol classes online. It satisfied the court requirements, which was a big help. Taking a class in person would have caused me interfered with my job and college courses. It's great that out of all this at least they didn't want to ruin my life. They just wanted to help me by teaching me about my behavior and decisions. It's strange but now I can see more clearly how much I was drinking and how much denial I was in.
I don't know if this was one of those those times when you feel grateful for a terrible situation, but being caught, despite how humiliating it was, feels like it has seriously changed my path and I am a better person as a result.

My Cousin Needs an Alcohol Awareness Class
My cousin is 25 years old and she has had a drinking problem from 10 years. My cousin and I are really close and we talk about this problem frequently. I keep telling her to get some professional help but she's reluctant. She says that she wants to, but that she feels embarrassed and is also worried about how much it will cost. I told her there are online alcohol classes that are very affordable and private. If she took an awareness class online she would know exactly how much it would cost and could take it in the privacy of her own home. I really hope my cousin seriously considers this because I can tell that her alcohol problem is getting worse.

We Are Better People Today After Taking an Alcohol Awareness Class
I could smell alcohol on my son's breath a lot more often lately. He is only 20 years old and I was so worried he was going to get in trouble. He caught me crying one day over it and that made him realize that his actions were affecting his entire family. We had a heart-to-heart talk that day and we both found out a lot about each other. I didn't realize he was turning to alcohol because he missed his father, and he didn't know that I missed his father just as much. He had left all of us about three years earlier and we had not dealt with it very well.
We looked online and found alcohol awareness classes for him to take, because he no longer wanted to hurt me or his younger sisters with his behavior. I also found some anger management classes for me to take, and we both are better people today because of it.

I Learned About My Alcohol Behavior in an Online Alcohol Class
If I am to be honest, I did not really think I had a drinking problem. Yes, I enjoyed a few drinks after work, and drank more freely on the weekends but so did my friends. There were times when I drank too much, but I never considered myself "a drunk" like my father.
One particular Friday night, we were celebrating a big merger when a few drinks turned into more drinks and I was arrested for public intoxication. Part of my sentence was to enroll in an alcohol awareness class.
This turned out to be a problem because no one offered any courses near me; and the closest one was a three hour round trip drive. I was not sure what to do until a friend suggested that I find an online alcohol class about alcohol awareness.
Not only was the price lower then what I would have paid in person but it was convenient and well written. It also met my sentencing requirements but more importantly, in the privacy of my own home- the class helped me open my eyes. I was able to be more honest with myself and see why I was abusing alcohol. It got me to turn around my life.

Helping the Alcoholic by Not Helping
If you think one of your friends or family members needs an alcohol awareness class, you need to understand that no one gets help until they are ready. As a drug and alcohol counselor for ten years I saw time and time again, addicts and alcoholics ordered by the judge to attend rehab or counseling. The individual showed up and went through the motions, but never really engaged and got anything out of the treatments.
Addicts typically don't get better unless they truly want to get better. So if you are frustrated that you can't help your friend or family member, remember that it's not up to you to save them. Your power is limited and you can only help yourself. This may mean attending Al-anon meetings or setting boundaries with that person.
The paradox is that you may help these people best by not trying to help them at all. It is possible that when you step out of the "parent role" they may come to the realization that they are being self-destructive and want to stop.

You Can Drink Too Much Without Even Knowing It
Just about anyone who ever has been drunk understands that sometimes alcohol takes effect more quickly than we realize. You don't need to have taken an alcohol class to come to this conclusion. Whether we do not know the potency of the beverage we drank or the fact that our metabolism is slow, there are times when the powerful effects of alcohol seem to come out of nowhere.
Drinking at a bar with a group of friends or at a holiday party are situations where it is easy to drink more than you are aware of. When you meet good friends at a bar and catch up over a few cocktails, time flies by quickly and before you know it you are definitely buzzed. Or, if you are at a holiday party feeling a little shy or nervous, the eggnog or champagne slips down too easily and on an empty stomach too. You can drink more than you intended when glasses are being filled and the environment is designed for drinking and merriment.
When this happens, it would be wise to call a taxi or get a ride with a friend. Don't allow yourself to drive. If you feel buzzed, or even slightly buzzed, don't drive. Remember, alcohol gets more potent as time passes and you may be the victim of drinking too much without knowing it. Make the smart decision and find safe transportation home.

A DUI Can Make Your Insurance Rates Skyrocket
With the cost of living so high already, and the economy in turmoil, you have to do whatever you can to save money and protect your future. You think things are tough now, try adding the increase in auto insurance premiums if you get a driving under the influence (DUI) violation.
With the bombardment of information you know that drinking and driving is both illegal and dangerous. You also must know that getting a DUI is expensive. Not counting all of the fines and fees for alcohol classes and attorneys, one place that will continue to hit your pocketbook month after month is auto insurance.
As a counselor for alcohol awareness classes, I often discuss the effect of a DUI on insurance rates with my students. Can you guess who sees the biggest increase? The answer is minors. Get a DUI and be under the age of 21 and if you can even keep your insurance, you are looking at an increase of $1,500 per year!
One DUI class student became a high-risk driver and his insurer boosted his premiums by $450 per month. While that may seem exorbitant the average increase is 20-40%.
Do yourself a favor and save money on insurance. Don't drive after consuming alcohol.
